COMMUNITY DROP-IN SESSIONS

EIS and community benefits

Gunning Subco (owned by Canadian Solar) are lodging the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Gunning Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE). The EIS will be on public exhibition during November and December 2023, where it will be available on the DPE website for the community to read and make submissions (check the Major Projects website for updates here: https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/major-projects/projects/gunning-solar-farm-0)

Thank you for your ongoing interest and feedback as we have been developing our project concept. Gunning Subco are committed to open and ongoing consultation with you as the host community. We are planning some community drop-in consultation sessions in October that we would love you to attend. The Gunning Subco planning and development team will be there to provide information about the project and the environmental assessment, and answer your questions directly.  We have invited Upper Lachlan Shire Council to join us in these sessions, to understand your views around community and neighbourhood benefits sharing.  We are interested in your ideas and feedback, to help shape the outcomes of this project, for the benefit of the host community.
